Holocaust

Holocaust to me means trying to kill out a whole population of a certain religion.

In the picture there is a Jewish man in a concentration camp with a gang of German soldiers gathered around 0ne German soldier about to shoot the Jewish man. Hitler hated all of the jews, he wanted to get rid of them. He created concentration camps, and death camps. In the concentration camps, they put the Jews to work, but in the death camps, they would put them in gas chambers and a cremation chamber and kill out many of them at a time.

Elie Wiesel was born in Sighet, Transylvania in the year of 1928 which is now part of Romania. At the young age of fifteen he and his family were sent to Auschwitz. Unfortunatly his mother and his younger sister were killed, but the two oldest survived. Eventually him and his father were sent to Buchenwald where his father later died. Elie and his two oldest sisters were the only ones out of his family to survive the Holocaust.

Prom

This year prom was kind of disappointing compared to the ones that we have had in the past. When I got there it was pretty packed, so I figured it would be really fun, so we went to dance. Not too long after dancing with my girlfriend and my friends, it got extremely hot, so I had to quit and go take my coat off because I was about to have a heat stroke. After taking a while to cool off i went back to the dance floor, so i started dancing again. Pop Lock and Drop it came on so we were all dancing to that, I dropped it once and the butt of my pants ripped down the seam, it sucked.

After ripping my pants I had to go wait in line forever just to get pictures made, it was terrible. Prom night was not one that I want to remember for very long because I did not like that night at all, it was way too hot, and my pants had a defect.

Living During the 1920's

Life during the 20's was difficult for many who were living during that time. After the prohibition act went into effect, there were many more crimes committed after alcohol was ban. People were very unhappy with the government, so they went behing their backs seceretly and started bootlegging alcohol. There were also parlors where you could get alcohol by walking up to the door and whispering a password to guy on the other side of the door, those were called speak easies. While the rate of bootlegging was largely increasing, so was the number of murders. Many people had the same ideas, they wanted to be the number one seller.

By researching and reading papers for my essay, I realized just how hard life could have been back in the 20's. Many people lose family and friends because of alcohol and drugs. I think i would have rather not lived back then, crime these days seem to be less brutal and don't turn out in such a bad way. I would rather live in peace at my house, rather than get shot out on the streets because of alcohol

Natures first green

When Spring comes around it is time for all the trees and plants to go through a process where they grow buds and other things. While that is happening you will notice over a few days the trees have a goldish tent to them, and your car is covered in yellowish gold stuff.

When I get polen on my truck I hate it because I like to keep my truck clean and shiny. Personally I hate Spring only for the reason of it making a huge mess with all the polen, But other than that Spring and Summer are my favorite seasons because it gets warm. When the weather gets warm it is time for swim trunks and flippy floppys, my favorite clothing.

St. Patricks Day

St. Patricks day doesn't really mean much to me, it's all just about wearing green for the whole day. People think that if you don't wear green that they get to pinch you, I don't know who ever came up with that idea because it's the stupidest thing ever. When i think of St. Patricks Day I think of little leprecons running around protecting their pots of gold at the end of all the rainbows.

I used to like to dress up all in green and go to school and pinch everyone who wasn't wearing green, but now i find it pointless. It's just another day just like any other day out of the year, and it is boring to me.

Last 9 weeks of being a jr.

Ever since I first started school I have always wanted to hit that day where I was a senior and didn't have to put up with school anymore. Now I'm in my final 9 weeks of 11th grade and about to get out for 2 weeks for Spring break (I'm going to Vegas by the way=D). I'm really excited about Vegas, when we get off of our flight in Nevada we will be escorted to the Bellagio in 2 limos which is really cool. It will be the best Spring break I have ever had, and will definatly keep my mind off of school for a while. After it is all over though it will all go back to the same old thing, getting up early in the morning and getting ready to go to school, but only for a few more weeks until we have a few months of freedom once again from school(but not football).

The Summer days seem a lot longer, because I have to get up every morning during the week kind of early to get down to the field house to get my work out in to get ready for August. The Summer work outs and August get us in shape and prepared for the football season that is coming up. I only have one more year to play football at Batesville, and next year I'm gunna make it my best. I'm gunna work my but off in school, in workouts, and in practice, all in hopes of making it to War Memorial Stadium next year for the playoff championship. I'm really hoping that everyone can pull together and work on the same level and have the same dream as me, so we can perform at out best, and end up with a ring at the end!

Peyton Manning

This year I had high expectations for the Colts to win Super Bowl 44, but as usual the team I am going for usually loses. I thought that the Colts were atleast a good twenty points better than the Saints from what i have seen in past games they have played.

During the first quarter of the game the Colts got off to a real good start out scoring the Saints 10 to 0. As the game progressed the offence just kept getting worse. We couldn't get anywhere with the running game, Peyton got to where he couldn't throw for anything, and the recievers he would throw to couldn't catch the ball. That got my hopes down just a little bit.

During the second half of the game Drew Brees had more pass completions than Peyton Manning did, which means his recievers could actually catch a ball that was trown to them. Plus their running back could actually run the ball and get down field better tha n the Colts running back.

At the end of the game my streak of picking a team before the Super Bowl and them losing was continued with the Colts loss over the Saints 31 to 17. After the game I was really angry over the loss, I was just in a bad mood all around. I just went home and went to sleep. The next day all I would hear from my dad was who dat?
